Athens Soup Kitchen

Athens Soup Kitchen, located at 421 N. Prairieville St. here in Athens, TX, provides soup and other items to those who need it, mainly the homeless, within our community.  Many volunteers from the area, help to prepare and serve a hot meal, each Tuesday and Thursday of the month.

Spearheaded by Sharon Chasey and Sharon Harding, members of our Missions/Community Concerns committee and other dedicated members of FPC Athens, volunteer their time on the last Tuesday and the following Thursday of each month.  During the month of December 2022, they worked the full week before Christmas and the last week of December.
