In the early service at 8:30 a.m., John Mark Solomon leads us in musical worship. He sings & plays guitar; many of the offertories he sings are of his own composition. He is accompanied by Mary Hortman on the piano. The songs we sing are upbeat & easy to learn. Please come join us!
The Chancel Choir sings in the 11:00 a.m. service. The choir is lead by Director of Music Janis Capelle. Practices are Sunday evenings at 5:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
Many of our singers have been members of the Chancel Choir for many years. We welcome new members to the choir at any time of the year.
Contact Jan Capelle for more information.
The Peg Cain Hand Bell Choir has played together for several years under the leadership of Mamie Downing. They play in worship each season & add to the musical joy of our Christmas music programs. We have a membership of 12; out of those, there is a bell quartet that plays for special programs & in worship. The handbells perform using a 4-octave set of Schulmerich bells, and a 2-octave set of Schulmerich hand chimes.
The FPC Ringers practice each Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall classroom. If you are interested in joining this musical group, please contact Mamie Downing or call the church office for more information 903-675-3530.
Men for Him rehearses each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
We encourage members to bring friends who love to sing to this first rehearsal. We are a chorus who sings a cappella four-part barbershop style religious music, is made up of over 20 men from area churches. We love to sing, share our faith through music and enjoy each other’s fellowship as we practice weekly and then perform.
Please call director Ted Schroeder at 214-478-2386 if you have any questions!
