PW Spring Gathering at FPC Athens

The 2008 PW Spring Gathering will be at FPC Athens, hosted by our Presbyterian Women.
Various workshops will be offered during the day on Saturday, April 19, 2008. Registration forms will be forthcoming. Mark your calendars now!

Looking Forward…
The PW Search Committee, comprised of Judith Austin, Virginia Carr and Jane Kilgore, has been hard at work and prayer in planning for the upcoming term for officers, circle chairmen, and members of the Coordinating Team. Please pray for them as they continue their work. We look forward to continued PW activities that incorporate our members in Bible study, hospitality and fun!

The Mo Ranch Women's conferences are scheduled for May 27th through May 29th and May 30th through June 1st. The keynote speaker for these conferences will be Joan Gray.

The Bible Study Conference will be held on July 21st and ends on July 23rd. The speaker for this event is Reverend Dr. Dale Lindsay Morgan, the author of our next study, "Jubilee! Luke's Gospel for the Poor"

Egg Fund
The Egg Fund donations for the Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services to assist with the care of the children was $1,145 in 2006. Thanks to all who helped!

 

 

Did You Know?

PW maintains a bulletin board. It is located on the wall adjacent to Ladies Room. Check often for current events.
PW supports the Food Pantry. We collect a different food item each month at the Tuesday PW Gathering.
PW collects Christian literature and materials for distribution overseas. See PW bulletin board for guidelines.
PW Circles are collecting school supplies for needy area children. See your Circle Chairman for details.
PW recycles postage stamps-any kind! Collection box is in Friendship Sunday School Room.

 

 

 

Music First Presbyterian Church has an extensive music program ranging from children's singing and hand bell choirs to our Chancel Choir. The music program is under the direction of Mamie Downing.

Friendship Ministry Program Members of the church support each other through the Friendship Ministry Program. In this program members are paired with other members who are not able to attend church services regularly. Contacts are generally made weekly, with frequent personal visits. Sometimes tape recordings of the church services and other devotional materials are shared. Any members who want to participate in this program are welcome at any time. Contact Phyllis Kidwell at the church for information.
