We are in need of Adult Volunteers to teach 2 of the Children's Sunday School classes. K-2nd & 3rd-5th. If you are interested in being a teacher in a Children's Sunday School Class or interested in giving a Children's Sermon during Time with Children, or in leading Scripture Choir, please contact Tara as soon as possible.

Kidquake is a weekend of fun and spiritual growth at Camp Gilmont.  The event provides an opportunity to retreat to the rustic forest beauty of God’s creation and connect with children from other churches in Grace Presbytery.   Churches register as a group and provide their own adult sponsors.  Designed much like Youthquake, with bible study and small group discussions, the weekend also offers opportunities for kids to choose from a variety of fun activities, much like summer camp.  Kidquake is a ministry of Grace @ Gilmont.

Please let me know as soon as you can &NO later than Wednesday February 8th, what your 1st & 2nd choices are. If you need a camp packet, I have some already printed, stop by the church office to pick one up.

February 12th, we will meet in the Children's Building at 5:30 to share a meal. Afterwards, we will caravan to the Lakeland House nursing home & be there by 6:00 to deliver our Valentine's we made last month & visit with some of the residents. We will return to the church by 7:00 for parent pick up. Children ages kindergarten-5th grade meet for 2nd Sunday Kids, January-May. We will start up again in September.  They share a meal, complete a craft project, complete a mission projects & sometimes go on field trips.  This group can use volunteers to help the Children's Director supervise the children, gather supplies for all activities, or tell a Bible story to the group.

Parents Night Out will be Saturday Feb 18th from 4pm-9pm. Little one age infant - 3 1/2yrs. will be in the Main church building in the Activity Room. Children ages 4yrs.-5th grade will be in the Children's building.

Two times each semester a Parent’s Night Out is offered to the parents in our church and the parents whose children attend our Mother’s Day Out program. For ages infant to 5th grade. With meal $5, without meal $3, per child.  The Children's Director along with qualified childcare workers, assists with the older children, leading them in games, crafts, watching movies & outdoor playtime-weather permiting.  The younger children are cared for by our professional childcare staff.  This gives parents a chance to plan something, knowing that their child is receiving loving child care at an affordable rate. By reservation only, call the church office & for more information call Tara Rhodes, 903-675-3530.

Planning Meeting!!!! February 19th @ 5:30 in the Conference Room. If you are interested in anyway, being involved with VBS, you need to attend. We will discuss & pick what theme we will do for the Summer & choose who will be Directors of each rotation. Your involvment is important!
