Director of Youth Ministries Job Description:

1. Organize and orchestrate weekly Bible study, Fellowship, Worship and Recreation for youth (grades 6-12) under the direction of the Session via the Youth Advisory Council (YAC)
2. Engage and utilize the resources of the  Youth Advisory Council
3. Work with the YAC to help recruit, train and support adult volunteers
4. Involve youth in all aspects of church life including Vacation Bible School, local missions, and visitation.
5. Communicate effectively with youth, parents, volunteers and session regarding plans and activities
6. Attend and engage in weekly to monthly conferences with the Minister
7. Build relationships with the youth by attending special events, ball games, plays, etc.
8. Build relationships with monthly face to face or phone call interactions with each youth individually.
9. Teach/Attend Sunday School with Youth
10. Work with the Business Manager with the budget for the youth program
11. Attend First Presbyterian Church worship services and activities

Qualifications for the position:

1. Possess strong commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
2. Possess Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution or a Seminary degree
3. Possess a significant knowledge of the Bible and a knowledge of or willingness to learn about Reformed Theology
4. Pass criminal background checks and drug testing
5. Work 40-45 hours each week.  Schedule will include limited office hours and activities with youth
